The Huizhou Data Centre is a greenfield purpose-built colocation data centre strategically located in the Tonghu Smart City in Huizhou, Guangdong Province. This is part of Southern China’s Greater Bay Area, an up-and-coming hi-tech hub.
With a total development potential of 1,024,900 sq ft, the data centre in Huizhou holds the China Data Centre Class A GB-standard equivalent specifications. Keppel Data Centres will be collaborating with a local data centre operator, Shenzhen Huateng Smart Technology Co, Ltd (Huateng Co.), to implement global best practices for data centre operations in this data centre.
The project is currently under construction and has delivered its first phase of expected Gross Floor Area of 486,700 sq ft in 2022, which offers more than 6000 high-density racks for hyperscale cloud companies and digital businesses. Customers will be able to scale within the same campus in its second phase, which will be delivered in 2024.
